It's taken me two days but I think I have caught up on sleep and housework and am ready to join the world again!
The last two weeks have been beyond fantastic. My youngest and her two daughters came and kept me company. We did a meet and swap at the halfway point between her house and mine. As many of you know, the haul up 95 is not a pleasant one and the trip to get them was a total pain. The trip to return them was a bit better but the best of the four legs was the final trip home, seems the key is to travel on Mondays!
Must admit the drive home was a tad tearful. My car was way too quiet! Once home, played with the kids for a few minutes and jumped right on the laundry and vacuuming. I'm sure I'll be finding hidden treasures for days to come!
This little whirling dervish is the master when it comes to making things disappear! She knows where they are but if you don't ask her, she won't show you or tell you. Once she's gone it's any one's guess what I'll find where!
We did have some cousin time during this visit as well. My oldest grandson came to spend a few days while his folks were on a mini vacay. Split the time with his other grandparents. Very glad that they were willing to share! Sadly, this grandma's van didn't fit three car seats so we were stuck at home for the few days. Thank goodness for the indoor playground to keep everyone busy!
B was off with his folks on their own trip but we did get a few days with him once they were back. His mamma had to work but we squeezed in a few hours with her as well. Didn't get to have all four at once this visit but we'll work on it for the next trip!
We had way too much fun and the time flew by so quickly. Wish we could have done more but honestly don't see how we could of fit anything else in! Juggling a baby and a toddler, naps, meals, bottles, potty training, and keeping the house fairly clean was a full time job with two of us. Grandpa was a good sport and pitched in when he was home. Trying hard to remember how I did this alone... Really feeling my age!
Now my darling daughter and I did give ourselves a mission. We have invented a new catch phrase and I am going to debut it here in my blog.
Full Olaf.
There are two ways to use it:
1. You can complete something and come full Olaf
2. You can react to something by going full Olaf
Long story short, we were out and about and came back to a loop point and realized that we truly hadn't traveled in a circle but more in the shape of...Olaf!
I was going to fill in all of the stops we made along the way to going full Olaf but decided that was way too much information. Suffice to say we came home with items ranging from a talking Elmo potty to leftover Sonic tater tots!
Busy couple of weeks and I can't wait until they are ready to come back for the next visit! We did have some fun with the cabinet spirit during her visit and Joe had a little encounter of his own while I was dropping her off so I'm off to update that page next! My daughter said she'd go full Olaf on me if I shared her experience but that's a chance I am going to have to take!
